Sunrise Assisted Living Ministry

Bring the Holy Eucharist to Sunrise Assisted Living

Imagine you are elderly, infirm and feeling isolated from your family and friends. You have just moved from your home, lost a spouse or are coping with the realization you can no longer live on your own. Our elderly fellow and sister Catholics at Sunrise Assisted Living (next to Fair Oaks Hospital) depend on St. Veronica volunteers to bring the Mass or Communion Service to them once a week. Every Friday between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm volunteers are needed for this apostolate. You can volunteer on a regular or intermittent basis. Bring your children and share the love of Christ. Contact Pat Rouleau at prouleau@cox.net.

Share the Gift of the Rosary with the Residents of Sunrise Assisted Living

Gathering to pray as a Catholic Community is so important to those at Sunrise Assisted Living. Volunteers from St. Veronica pray the Rosary every Wednesday, 1:00-2:30 pm, with the residents.  After The Rosary, we either read a short story, read about the Saint of the Day, and/or share memories. Two to four volunteers are needed each week–your commitment could be 1 to 2 Wednesdays a month or an occasional fill in.
